Nick Allum Trio
Playing modern jazz standards

Simon Thorpe is one of the UK's best-known jazz bassists. He has worked with many of the great UK and US names in jazz, recording and touring with Bobby Wellins, Stacey Kent, Bheki Mseleku, Alan Barnes, Elaine Delmar, Scott Hamilton, Benn Clatworthy and Ray Gelato.  Outside the jazz sphere he has played with artists as diverse as Amy Winehouse, Imelda Staunton, Imogen Heap, Alexander Armstrong, Maria Ewing, Mica Paris and Rick Astley (yes!).

Gabriel Keen studied at Dartington College of Arts and London College of Music. He won second prize in the 5th British Contemporary Piano Competition. He has played with Hot Orange Big Band, London Swingfonia and Denmark Street Big Band. Gabriel is equally at home playing the music of Fauré and Satie as he is playing tunes by Bill Evans and Herbie Hancock.

Nick Allum studied at Berklee College of Music and co-founded one of the early community jazz courses in London. He has played with jazz artists, notably Courtney Pine, indie rock acts Fatima Mansions and The Apartments, as well as contemporary classical music. Nick is also a new member of Brydges Place Club!
